Leading Online Publication for K-12 Educators Offers Registration, Self-Care with eRightsWEB

NEW YORK, January 17, 2005 -- eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of digital information access and commerce solutions, today announced that Editorial Projects in Education, Inc. (EPE), the independent publisher of Education Week and Teacher Magazine, has implemented eMeta's eRightsWEB to provide registration and customer self-care on edweek.org.

"edweek.org is a tremendous resource for educators and administrators, providing news, reports and expert commentary on current events in elementary and secondary schools," said Angela Lunter, online business manager. "eRightsWEB allows us to gather registration data - valuable demographic information about our customers - to address their specific needs and interests. Combine that knowledge with usage patterns, and we have an excellent read on what is working for us in terms of content, as well as advertising."

eRightsWEB is eMeta's managed software suite providing media and software companies with the tools to monetize their digital goods and services. In addition to providing standard eRightsWEB features, eMeta also integrated the system with edweek.org's existing e-newsletter database.

"I am pleased that EPE is among a growing number of eRightsWEB clients," said Brian Kocsy, product manager, eRightsWEB. "With the new revenue opportunities inherent to centralized registration, combined with cost-saving features such as self-care, eRightsWEB will fast become a key contributor to edweek.org's bottom line."

Using eRightsWEB, publishers can effectively market and sell any type of digital asset - such as content, rich media and software - creating new revenue opportunities while satisfying customer demands. eRightsWEB reduces time-to-market, streamlines costs and increases revenue.
