eMeta Corporation Reports Record Revenue Growth in 2005
Software Leader eMeta Owes Finest Year to Strength of its Technology; Digital Convergence, SaaS Trends
NEW YORK, January 17, 2006 -- eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and ecommerce software for digital goods and services, today announced that its annual revenues grew over 50% in 2005 due to strong demand for its products and services. Major organizations including Pearson, Reuters, and Oxford University Press joined eMeta’s world-class customer roster in 2005.
The company’s growth demonstrates the success of online registration, licensing, and commerce for the information, entertainment, and software industries. eMeta’s eRights Suite is the de facto standard solution to license and sell digital content and services, maximizing their revenue potential.
eMeta extended its reach beyond the information industry in 2005 into major entertainment companies. eMeta’s software now powers major streaming audio, streaming video, and IPTV products. As more ISVs turn to Web-delivered applications, the eRights Suite is also being used to provide the essential licensing, billing, promotion, and customer care infrastructure for Software as a Service (SaaS) providers.
“The customer wins that contributed to our record revenue growth in 2005 are as impressive as they are varied,” said Christopher Miranda, Vice President of Sales, eMeta. “We continue to work with many of the largest and most well-known organizations in the world. New customers span myriad industries and verticals –- from gaming and streaming media, to financial services and software.”
Among its 2005 accolades, eMeta was recognized by Red Herring as one of the Top 100 Private Companies in North America and by Deloitte & Touche for its rapid growth in New York.
“It’s been an exciting 12 months for eMeta,” said Jonathan Lewin, eMeta CEO and Founder. “All types of digital goods and services are being delivered over the Internet, and our company is growing more rapidly than ever as a result. We’re looking forward to continuing to innovate and help our customers in 2006.”
In addition to continued growth in the digital content and SaaS arenas, plans for 2006 include the eMeta User Conference, where eMeta will formally announce its latest release, eRights Suite 4.0.
