eMeta CEO to Speak Alongside Fellow Digital Content Leaders, Including Google, McGraw-Hill and Thomson Execs, at SIIA’s Information Industry Summit 2006

eMeta’s Jonathan Lewin to Address Licensing Strategies at Must-Attend Information Industry Event

NEW YORK, January 19, 2006 –- eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and ecommerce software for digital goods and services, today announced that Jonathan Lewin, eMeta’s CEO and Founder, will speak on the panel “Buyers, Buyers Everywhere and Not a Site License in Sight!” on Wednesday, February 1st from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Eastern at the Software and Information Industry Association’s (SIIA) Information Industry Summit (IIS). The IIS is taking place January 31st through February 1st at Cipriani 42nd Street, 110 E. 42nd Street in New York City.

The panel will address how companies can build, license and sell their digital products given the recent shift in the way information distributors manage resources. Also participating are John Blossom, President, Shore Communications as panel moderator; Bill Burger, VP of Marketing, Copyright Clearance Center; Patrick Spain, Chairman and CEO, HighBeam Research; and Pam Springer, President and CEO, ECNext.

“One of the most important decisions a content provider faces is, ‘What business model works best for my market?’” said Lewin. “Pay-per-view is losing favor with vendors, though subscriptions aren’t for everyone. As buyers become more selective and content providers change how they allocate their resources, solutions are required to help companies test and implement the right licensing practices. Our panel at the IIS will address this and related issues.”

The IIS 2006 is an exclusive two-day event for executives from the electronic publishing and content industries. Keynote speakers include Harold McGraw III, Chairman and CEO, The McGraw-Hill Companies and Tim Armstrong, VP of Advertising Sales, Google. Through a series of panels, debates, keynotes and interviews, industry leaders will discuss the economic, regulatory, social and technological impacts of users taking control in 2006 and beyond. Offering significant networking opportunities, IIS unites people whose companies create, distribute and aggregate content; as well as the bankers, consultants, recruiters and technology providers that assist them.

Register online at www.siia.net/events/prereg.asp?eventid=520. Through January 27th, save $100 with rates of $1,095 for SIIA members and $1,595 for non-members. More information is available at www.siia.net/iis/2006.
