Board Appoints eMeta to American Business Media NEW YORK, March 17, 2005 -- eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and commerce software, today announced that it has been elected to American Business Media (ABM), the global trade association for business media companies, by the ABM board of directors. In addition, eMeta will present at ABM's Online Revenue Strategies conference on March 24 in New York. "It's an honor to be elected to such a prestigious organization whose charter has been established for almost 100 years," said Jonathan Lewin, CEO and founder, eMeta Corporation. "We're looking forward to the many benefits of associate membership, as well as our presentation at the upcoming conference, where other technologists and media companies can share ideas. Our involvement with American Business Media gives us the chance to interact with member customers, including IDG, Hanley Wood, McGraw-Hill and IEEE. Additionally, we're excited to create partnerships with other ABM members companies comprising the best and brightest in the industry." eMeta's rich experience in publishing and media creates a natural fit with ABM. Founded by information industry veterans, eMeta has established itself as the de facto standard solution for licensing and selling online content and services. Used by dozens of financial, education, science, technical, medical, and newspaper publishers, eRights has enabled the industry to generate revenue from online content and services using sophisticated business models that do not alienate users -- a vital task in an era where it has been said that all information should be free. "eMeta provides software to the world's top professional publishers," said William A. Morrow, Chairman, Board of Directors, American Business Media. "Its core solution, the eRights Suite, is behind expansive digital content operations serving millions of users worldwide, on a daily basis. As with every potential member, we carried out a formal election process. eMeta's reputation, quality and experience in the industry made it a logical decision. We are happy to welcome eMeta to American Business Media." Chris Miranda, an eMeta vice president, will meet with members at ABM's Online Revenue Strategies conference, taking place March 24 at the Union League Club in New York.
