eMeta Corporation Named to Prestigious Red Herring 100

Award recognizes 100 private companies in North America that drive the technology industry’s future

NEW YORK, May 11, 2005 -- Red Herring announced today that eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and ecommerce software, is one of the Red Herring 100 Private Companies of North America.

"Five years after the dot-com bubble burst, innovation and entrepreneurship are thriving. The companies on this list are proof," said Red Herring editor-in-chief Joel Dreyfuss.

eMeta provides digital subscription technologies to world-leading media and software firms. Its eRights Suite helps companies license and sell intangible products and services - from content, music and movies, to games and software applications. Founded in 1998 and grown organically, eMeta has maintained double-digit annual revenue growth.

"We are thrilled to be named to the Red Herring 100," said Jonathan Lewin, CEO and founder, eMeta. "This honor underscores eMeta’s commitment to quality technology. Our signature product, eRights, has grown to accommodate the myriad digital goods and services that require sophisticated licensing and ecommerce capabilities."

The Red Herring 100 Winners will be unveiled at the Red Herring Spring 2005 conference, May 17-19, 2005 in Monterey, Calif. Dedicated to celebrating the most exciting private North American companies, the three-day conference will feature keynote speeches, dynamic discussions and company presentations by the CEOs of the Red Herring 100.
