eMeta Corporation Named "Rising Star" in Deloitte & Touche's Technology Fast 50 Program for New York Company Recognized for its Substantial Growth Founded in 1998, eMeta provides software and services that allow companies to sell and license digital goods and services (such as news stories, images or software) while managing a full range of related customer interactions. Specifically, the company provides authentication, authorization and commerce services in relation to the marketing, selling and distribution of a company's digital assets. "We are honored to once again be recognized by Deloitte & Touche for our strong performance," said Jonathan Lewin, CEO of eMeta Corporation. "eMeta's continuing growth is a reflection of our unwavering focus on developing and delivering the infrastructure that companies need to successfully commercialize their digital offerings. That focus has enabled us to secure business with some of the world's leading publishers and media companies, quickly becoming the de facto standard for commercializing online content and services." To qualify for the Technology Fast 50 Rising Star program, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 2000 and $1,000,000 in 2002, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be "technology" companies defined as owning proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues. Deloitte & Touche ranks the Rising Star winners based on the percentage of growth in fiscal year revenues over three years, from 2000-2002. "The Deloitte & Touche New York Technology Fast 50 Rising Star companies have shown the strength, vision and temerity to succeed despite a very challenging technology environment," said Larry Wizel, Partner in the Technology, Media and Telecommunications practice of Deloitte & Touche and Chair of the New York Technology Fast 50. "We applaud eMeta's success and ability to build such a strong growth rate over the past three years." This year's New York Technology Fast 50 is supported by Platinum Sponsors: Bank of New York, Geller and Company, Marsh Financial Services, NASDAQ, and Proskauer Rose; Gold Sponsors: the Journal News, and Silver Sponsors: Polytechnic University the NYC Center for Advanced Technology.
