eMeta Corporation Named to Software Magazine’s Annual Software 500

Software Magazine Ranks eMeta as One of the World’s Largest Software Companies

NEW YORK, October 4, 2005 -- eMeta Corporation, the leading provider of access control, subscription management and ecommerce software, today announced its inclusion in the Software 500, Software Magazine’s list of the world’s foremost software and services providers, published as an online catalog on www.Softwaremag.com.

“The overall health of the software and services industries has improved, with revenue for the 2005 Software 500 at $383.3 billion worldwide for 2004, an increase of 16.5 percent over the previous year,” said John P. Desmond, Editor of Software Magazine and Softwaremag.com. “The industry continues to be dynamic, with nearly 100 new companies on the 2005 Software 500 list.”

The Software 500 is a ranking of the world’s largest software and services suppliers targeting medium to large enterprises, their IT professionals, software developers and business managers involved in software and services purchasing. The list includes both private and public companies; 28 percent of the 2004 Software 500 companies are private. The Software 500 is searchable by primary business sector on www.Softwaremag.com, free to all site registrants.

“We are honored to be included on the Software 500 list alongside the industry’s top performing companies,” said Jonathan Lewin, CEO and Founder, eMeta. “This accolade is evidence of eMeta’s continued focus on growing our technology and people; 2005 should be another stellar year for us.”

The Software 500 list is based on total worldwide software and service revenue for 2004. This includes revenues from software licenses, maintenance and support, training and software-related services and consulting. Suppliers are not ranked on their total corporate revenue, since many have other lines of business, such as hardware. The financial information was gathered by a survey prepared by King Content Co. and posted at www.Softwaremag.com, as well as from public documents.
