eMeta Named Seventh Fastest Growing Technology Company on Deloitte Technology Fast 50 - New York eMeta Achieves 1,638 Percent Revenue Growth in Challenging Times "We are thrilled to be named one of the seven fastest growing technology companies in New York," said Jonathan Lewin, chief executive officer, eMeta. "With more businesses and consumers looking to the Web for delivery of content, rich media and software applications, companies require a flexible solution to license and sell digital goods and services. eMeta has an extraordinary team providing the eRights solution to address the needs of current and potential customers." eMeta's increase in revenues of 1,638 percent from 1999 to 2003 resulted in ranking seventh in the Fast 50 for New York. The average increase in revenues among companies who made the Fast 50 for this region was 956 percent. "To succeed during prosperous times is one thing; to succeed in adversity is much more challenging, and that's exactly what the Deloitte Technology Fast 50 winners have done," said Ed Moran, Director of New Product Innovation and Leader, Nanotechnology Industry Practice. "We applaud eMeta for its tremendous accomplishments during economically challenging times and for being one of the elite Fast 50 companies in New York." To qualify for the Technology Fast 50, companies must have had operating revenues of at least $50,000 in 1999 and $1,000,000 in 2003, must be public or private companies headquartered in North America, and be a "technology company" defined as owning proprietary technology that contributes to a significant portion of the company's operating revenues (using other companies' technology in a unique way does not qualify); and/or devoting a significant proportion of revenues to research and development of technology. Winners of the 19 regional Technology Fast 50 programs in the United States and Canada are automatically entered in the Deloitte Technology Fast 500 program, which ranks North America's top 500 fastest growing technology companies.
