eMeta Wins Best Supplier to the Online Publishing Industry Award

eMeta Awarded for Outstanding Contributions to the Online Publishing Industry

LONDON - Nov. 11, 2002 - eMeta, the provider of digital rights commerce solutions, won the "Best Service Provider or Supplier to the Industry" Award from the UK Association of Online Publishers (AOP) at the recent AOP Interactive Publishing Conference. The AOP awards recognise outstanding contributions to the online publishing industry, as well as support the AOP's drive to raise the standards, revenue and profile of the industry.

The judges commended eMeta for the flexible solution it has developed in eRights, saying: "eRights repackages content in an innovative way and generates meaningful revenue from the sale of online content." Alex Daley, head of AOP, congratulated eMeta on its achievement in delivering such an effective access control system for online publishers.

The eRights software platform helps online publishers define how content is accessed, packaged and priced. By combining advanced access control technology with flexible commerce capabilities, eRights enables businesses to create sophisticated product and service offerings, tailored to specific customers and markets. eRights is the information commerce backbone for dozens of customers, including FT.com, The Royal Society of Chemistry and The McGraw-Hill Companies.

"We are thrilled to be recognised by the AOP for eRights' value to online publishers," said Patrick Cooke, managing director of eMeta Europe. "This award is further testimony to what eRights customers have long known - that eRights is a critical part of any successful online publishing initiative. eRights gives content providers the insight and tools they need to tightly align their licensing and marketing to individual customer usage patterns for more effective revenue generation."
